The cream we made first, and the one everything else is measured against.
It begins the way frankincense always has, with resin. Boswellia frereana is tapped by hand in the Sanaag highlands, from trees that grow out of limestone with almost no soil beneath them. It is one of the least commoditised frankincense species in the world, and it does not smell like the frankincense most people know: less church, more warm citrus peel over dry stone.
That botanical is then handed to a British cosmetic chemist, and this is where most 'natural' brands stop and we don't. The oil is not stirred into a bought-in base. It sits at the centre of a formulation developed for it, emollients and barrier-support ingredients chosen so the cream melts at skin temperature, sinks without tack, and leaves a finish you can put makeup over ten minutes later.
Used morning and night, skin looks smoother and more even, feels cushioned rather than coated, and the appearance of fine lines softens. It is a cosmetic, not a cure. We would rather tell you exactly what it does than promise you something it cannot.
